This easy to make cocktail is a whisky twist on Sangria, combining the fruitiness of our Jerez Sherry Cask Single Malt with wine to create a refreshing drink for warm summer evenings.

If you are looking for an easy cocktail to make for the summer, look no further. This whisky twist on the classic Sangria features our Speyburn Jerez Sherry Cask, perfectly paired with lemon juice to create a refreshing drink.

This nutty single malt is finished in Oloroso, Manzanilla and Fino Sherry Casks from Jerez. 

Our Jerez Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is first aged in bourbon casks, then finished in a mix of sherry casks to bring out flavours of roasted hazelnuts, raisins and smooth spices. 

How  to Make a Whisky Sangria

Make the Whisky Sangria for yourself and your friends at home with our easy to make recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 35ml Speyburn Jerez Sherry Cask  

  • 15ml Lemon Juice  

  • 15ml Sugar Syrup  

  • Top with Cava

  • Orange Wedge Garnish  

  • Glass recommendation: Short Highball  

 

Make it in three easy steps:

  1. Fill your short highball glass with ice.   
  2. Mix the whisky, red wine, lemon juice and sugar syrup. 
  3. Pour mixture over the ice. 
  4. Garnish with an orange wedge. 

Optional: top it up with soda to give a refreshing fizz
